Saugus Strong – 3 Years Later

Today marks three years since the tragic shooting at Saugus High School. The shooting claimed the lives of two beloved students, Gracie Muehlberger, 15, and Dominic Blackwell, 14. The gunman was a junior at Saugus High and injured three additional students before turning the gun on himself. The shooting started at 7:38 am and it only took 16 seconds for irreparable damage to be done.

The Blackwell and Muehlberger families both started non-profit organizations in an effort to support young people and fight for safe gun sales in an effort to stop further school shootings. “In Memoriam of Gracie Muehlberger and Dominic Blackwell” is now engraved on the entrance sign of Central Park with two memorial 11-foot obelisks in the students honor.

We send support to all of our community as we honor the victims of this devastating day. Thank you to our community heroes, including school faculty, first responders, and medical professionals. Saugus Strong.
